Hello and Welcome!

My name is Audrey Fletcher and this summer I am a NEVBD (New England Vector Borne Disease) intern at the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project! I work full time as a Mosquito Surveillance Technician at the CMMCP, which means I trap mosquitos in order to monitor for viruses. On this blog, I will be posting updates on the particulars of the job, such as how the traps work, what kind of places where we set the traps, and the types of mosquitos we pay attention to. I hope to provide insight into this one aspect of Public Health work in Central Massachusetts, and I hope you will follow along if you are interested!
